Well, I’ve kind of contemplated the idea since I heard about it. I think it’s a terrible idea to be honest! But I’m going to go ahead and do the 2015 Tour of Sufferlandria (ToS). What is it? Insanity! For those of you who don’t cycle, especially using an indoor trainer, Sufferland is the place where the Sufferfest videos take place. These are some hardcore High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) videos for cycling (there’s also some for running over there). They average about an hour, but some are much longer. They are extremely intense.

The ToS takes place at the end of January. It’s 9 days straight of HIIT with stages ranging from 1-2.5 hours long. If you want to read about it, check out the write-up here. It gives a description of each stage. I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to make it through. I don’t think I’ve ever cycled 9 days straight before. If I have, several of those days have been a leisurely cruise. I’ve definitely never done 9 days straight of anything at this intensity. So yeah…. it’s either a very cool, or very poor decision!

Here’s my race number! They give you a template, you make what you want. As you can see on the bottom right, I’m running Team ProYeo! And my number of choice, after much thought, is BMI34. I thought of some other choices that were too obvious…. 666 or 13 due to the evil nature of this all, 3.14 nerd wheel reference, etc. Those were all taken anyway. I finally settled on BMI34 – it’s my Body Mass Index. One big motivator for me is to get that number down so it might as well be staring me in the face!
