Up until now, this whole website has been a sounding board for me to write out my thoughts while shopping for my bike. An important part of buying and owning a bike is to find yourself a local shop, in my opinion. You need good advice up front and down the road, you’ll need service, repairs, upgrades, etc. So for the past couple of months I had been hpopping in and out of shops trying to pick one I liked. I made it clear that, while I wasn’t going to be paying for anyone’s college career, I was going to be spending a decent amount of loot on a decent road bike. The shops that I went into never quite had the right vibe for me. One shop had a bunch of obvious regulars in it and nobody really wanted to help me out, they were happier to hang out in the back. Another shop was pleasant enough, but they didn’t seem to care one way or another if I bought anything. I get it, I’m picky, and there is a fine line between helping and being pushy.

Well, I’m happy to say that I bought my bike after finally finding a shop that I got a good vibe from. There were a couple of people working and they were both busy attending to other customers when I walked in. But they acknowledged me and let me know they wanted to help. I asked questions, they answered. I mentioned what I was looking for, they immediately found me a comparable bike to test out. All in all, I just enjoyed the experience. I got to see them interact with a couple people picking up bikes or bringing them in for repair and that was handled well too.

So if you are in the market for a bike, accessories, service, etc. I’m going to go ahead and recommend you check out Spoke Life Cycles – 26597 N. Dixie Hwy., Perrysburg, OH 43551. You can call ’em at 419-931-9919 as well. The shop is well stocked and the people seem real nice! They are on Facebook and I was able to get some questions answered there as well. All around, a good experience!
