This shit is bananas! Seriously though. When I bought my bike, I got it for gravel – all the roads in my area are hard pack gravel. I just thought a bike better suited for it would be nice. Extra bonus, for veering off the beaten path and discovering. But I had no idea that singletrack courses were a thing. I mean, I’d heard the word, I didn’t know what it meant. I saw some people I follow on Strava keep riding this particular area in Oak Opening Metropark, so I finally decided to go see what was up.

I’m glad I did, and I’m glad I leaned more off-road capable versus more speed with this bike. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a mountain bike. I do believe I’m right at the top end of what she can handle.

It’s just a few feet to the course, then this video is all action really. I honestly haven’t watched it yet, but I hope it’s as fun to watch as it should be according to my intent.
