Here is the final bike that I’m considering, the Specialized Roubaix SL4 Sport 105. This is definitely beyond my price range, it would take a bit more saving. But this looks to have it all for me – at least as far as entry level bikes go. This one runs mostly 105 components – on both the Composite 2 and this bike, the rear cassette is Tiagra. The difference here is that the front derailleur is also Tiagra; whereas, on the Composite 2 the front derailleur is 105. In general both the Composite 2 and the Sport 105 here are comparable. They both look good and ride good. I’m trying to decide what bike would best suit my needs. I didn’t realize the decision would be so hard!
