Rev. Voodoo

Coming up this Saturday is going to be one spectacular event that you won’t want to miss!  Check out the flyer for full details on this event.  Some serious art and tunes coming in to the Liquid Ultra Lounge!  And The Voodoo Empire is representing well this time.  Odawa and Simplicity will both be throwing some tunes, and Rev. Voodoo will have some art on display.  This should be a great time!

Rev. Voodoo will be playing the opening slot for Wired this coming Wednesday, July 30th at Liquid Ultra Lounge.  All the info about the night is on the flyers.  Come on out and support the local scene, enjoy some cheap drinks, and have a damn good time.  The Rev. will be on at 10pm!

It’s coming up quick.  Finalize your plans!  What are you going to cook this year?  We will have smoking wood on hand if anyone needs it!  Also, we will have a giant 10 x 20 canopy.  Basically we will have it all, we just need you!  Contact Rev. Toledo’s number 1 weekly event has been a great success during its stay at Woodchuck’s, but now the event is expanding!  That’s right, Wired Wednesdays are now going to be at the Liquid Ultra Lounge June 25th, and every Wednesday after that.  All the information you need is on the flyers, give em a click then come on out to enjoy the nights!

Some of you may have heard about something new going down at Woodchuck’s!  Something nobody else is doing.  Well here it is, Toledo’s only After Hours.  Serving the late night crowd with an OPEN KITCHEN and GREAT MUSIC Provided by the best DJ’s In town….With 5:30 a.m. being the Majik hour!! Drinks will start being served again @ 5:30!!! Wooohooo, OLD SKOOL LATE NITES!!

It’s that time of the year again.  DEMF or Movement 2008 is about to go down in Detroit.  It takes place at the Hart Plaza right near the Renaissance Center if you are not familiar with the area.  This is always an amazing time and this year the line-up looks like it won’t dissappoint.  If you’ve gone before, you know what to expect.  And if you’ve never been, now is your chance!  Below is a list of confirmed artists by stage.  These are only the artists actually playing the festival proper.  There are many many more artists playing at after parties all over town.  A simple google search will turn up a tonne of options, or you can check the Voodoo Forums for a pretty good list of after parties.

Well the plans are starting to roll!  Keep this date saved!  June 28th will be the 3rd annual backyard blowout thrown by Rev. Voodoo, DJ Odawa and the Empire High Priestess, Ankhjii.  These things are always a blast so make sure you come out!  Bring food for the grill, liquor, records, whatever!

The party goes all day until whenever!  As usual, during the afternoon and up until sound ordinance….the party is family friendly.  So for those of you who have kids bring em out.  I’ll try to have somethin on hand for ‘em to do….(I’m thinkin slip and slide this year).  We go until between 10 and 11 outdoors.  After that it’s time for the kids to head home and the party (or at least the noise) to head indoors for the night!

There will be a keg on hand and donations are always appreciated.  Bring booze, we will have some mixers.  And bring food.  We always have extra but bring what ya like.  Chips, pop, sides, desserts, salads, and of course MEAT.  The grill will be open to everyone who wants to cook.

The time has come for Maxwell and Joe to throw another amazing party.  Anyone who attended the ‘Pimps and Hoes’ party knows just what the Reverend is talking about.  It’s coming up quick on Saturday April 26 at Maxwell and Joe’s house.  And this could well be the last party thrown in this house so come out for a great time.  Price of admission is 5 bux and it’s more than worth it.  Joe will have Miller Lite and Bells kegs on tap.  So raid your closets, or that of a cousin in Swanton.  Feather that mullet up real good, hop in your Camaro and head over to the party.  The fun starts at 10pm.  There will be a best dressed contest, so come to impress (anyone you’d see at a Poison concert).  DJ’s grab your records, tables will be set up and your services are needed!
