Been off work for a week and a half now.  The first day back is always hard.  Had a great trip to Canada.  Ankhjii and I got to spend some quality time in the homeland.  Spent a lot of time with family which was real nice.  The trip started off with my sister’s wedding.  That was quite a bit of work to get everything together, but it turned out real nice.  After the wedding she and her new husband were off to Disney, which sounds super fun….right up their alley!  Ankhjii and I got to hang out with some friends we hardly get to see which was great fun.  Then it was off to Niagara Falls which Ankhjii had never seen.  We really enjoyed that, but did so much walking we were beat.  Finally we were off to Toronto.  We did a fair bit of sight seeing and some shopping.  Then it was back to the hotel to relax and unwind.  It was a great trip, came home broke, tired, and happy!

Rev. Voodoo got to go and do a wonderful little wedding ceremony last night.  They wanted a simple, shorter ceremony.  Sometimes the short ones can be pretty hard to write.  I mean, it’s a wedding…. it’s gotta be meaningful, but you gotta fit all the meaning into so few words.  The new bride and groom were happy with the results, which makes me pretty happy!  They wanted to have their ceremony before the groom gets deployed in a couple weeks with the Air Force.  I was happy to be part of this, I had a great time.  Congratulations to the lovely new couple, and thanks for keeping us safe!

The NHL 2010/2011 schedules were released recently, and we have it here for you!  Just grab this file and add it to your calendar.  It’s an ics file, so it can be used in Outlook, or a variety of other calendar applications.  Just do a quick web search if you aren’t sure how to use it.  Get it in your calendar and get ready for the new season!  Let’s go Avalanche!

Well, Saturday was a big success.  It was Joe’s 30th Birthday party, and I’d say it was a hit!  Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate in style.  The party was all planned out by Charisse, who despite being quite ill beforehand, put in tonnes of effort to make sure things went off without a hitch!  Clint took care of getting the beer, which was awesome…..seems everyone enjoyed that!  Max and Steph, as always, were such gracious hosts!  The house looked great, anyone who needed a place to crash had one.  And breakfast in the morning was so nice.  Joe’s folks took care of the hairy buffalo/jungle joose…..and some of the other stuff too.  I’d say we definitely surprised Joe, which was the best part!  So to everyone who helped put it all together, and to everyone who came out, a big thank you!

This is going to be my absolute favourite event of the 2010 olympics. Team Canada vs. Team USA in olympic hockey.  Grab your Molson (Labatt is acceptable), kick back, turn on the tube…..it’s time for some hockey!  Lets go Canada!

Wow, it just seems like I have been continuously sick since about August.  Has anyone else been having such a hard time with it?  I think this is the first time in years I’ve used up all my sick time at work.  Just a day here, and a day there, but they add up.  Colds, Flus, etc.  What’s the deal?  It’s just been one thing after another.  I’m on a new assignment at work, where I actually have to think….and I’m having a heck of a time thinking, heck, I can barely function at all.  Oh well, it’ll pass I’m sure.  I hope everyone is having a good time with things, enjoying the holidays, etc.  Here’s to your health everyone!
