Rev. Voodoo

Well, since Rev. Voodoo has been hiding at home for about a month now, maybe a post is in order as to why.  Mostly there is work, and too much of it.  But also the Rev. decided to go through with the NutriSystem diet for ten weeks to see what would happen.  Turns out that it works.  At the halfway point now, and your Reverend is 21 pound lighter.  So, there is 5 weeks to go.  And that’s probably when you’ll see the Rev. out and about again.  See, bad will power is a curse…and if the Reverend finds himself in a bar, many drinks will find themselves drank.  So just 5 more weeks on this strict diet, and then we’ll see how things went!

It’s getting to be that time again. I know we just recently upgraded WordPress here at www.RVoodoo.com, but another upgrade has just been officially released. After reading the documentation and checking out what others had to say, it looks like a good one with many valuable tools. So here we go again, upgrade time. Keep your fingers crossed and hope this goes as smoothly as the last one!

And again, we have success.  This one was a little more difficult but I think that was due to my work computers.  All is well in the Voodoo Empire once again!

Those of you who have hung out at Rev. Voodoo’s place know Vyvyn well. We noticed he was having a tough time with his teeth and took him to the vet for a check up. First thing we found out was that Vyvyn only has a few teeth left, and those are rotten. So he needs them ALL removed. It looked like Vyvyn was doomed to gum soft food forever. But first he needed some blood work done and that’s when we got even worse news. Seems he has lots of problems with his blood work and the vet would like him tested for feline leukemia. However funds are short and we are already up to a few hundred dollars to sort out the trouble. So for now Vyvyn is required to take vitamin supplements, antibiotics, and a kitty steroid to try to sort out the trouble. After a couple weeks of that he will have his blood retested to see how he is doing. If all goes well he will then have his remaining teeth extracted. Poor Kitty!

It’s that time once again! Time for another episode of the Voodoo Empire’s Mix of the Moment. And this time we have a serious Techno treat! The Rev. absolutely loves this fellow Canadian. And this time she serves up a great set from the Awakenings Festival in Eindhoven over in the Netherlands. Many apologies for the small sound glitch in the middle of the mix. The mix was found in 2 parts and Rev. Voodoo had to splice the halves together using his miniscule audio engineering knowledge. Now give this one a spin and enjoy!

Well it’s finally finished!  The Rev. told Ankhjii that for her birthday (last year) he would take her to get her first tattoo.  Of course it takes some time to come up with the perfect design.  After much thought Ankhjii selected a Ginko leaf, which is near and dear to her heart.  We went to see the amazing Miss Blue at Perfectly Pierced and Permanently Scarred who applied this amazing piece of work to Ankhjii’s skin.  I can honestly say to anyone considering a tattoo, this wonderful woman is the best!

Although www.RVoodoo.com does not command a huge web presense, the Voodoo Empire is going to experiment with Google’s Adsense on this site. There won’t be any of those annoying pop-up ads, or keyword ads or anything like that. It will just be a few ads over to the right in the sidebar under everything else. More or less its an experiment to see if any money is actually received from Google, and its free to participate. If the ads annoy you and you think it’s wrong to include them here go ahead and drop a comment. If you feel like contributing to the Rev. Voodoo beer fund then go ahead and click an ad or 2. It just might pay to buy you a beer!
