Time for another new Mix of the Moment. Frankie Bones has been a lifelong inspiration of the Reverend. This one goes down in traditional Frankie Bones style. Good old bangin Brooklyn sounds all the way! It’s Frankie Bones-Live at Wonderland 01-28-06. You wanna turn this one up! And stay tuned to www.RVoodoo.com, in the coming month we will be digging a little deeper into the Frankie Bones vault, perhaps back to the Love Parade in 1997! Catch a preview of that one at the Voodoo Community. Why not jump back a decade and see what’s changed!

Recently the Rev. and Ankhjii decided to get a little away time. We heard rumours about the Belamere Suites in Perrysburg. Simply put an amazing time was had.
First off, one can totally leave the world. When one arrives, they are given a garage door opener at check-in. You simply park your car in the garage attached to your suite and never have to see the world again. The suite has no windows, so you never have to deal with the daylight. They tell you that the front desk will take care of everything. That was definately put to the test. We called many times for new towels, coffee, food, etc. And every time the things we needed were delivered right to our door.
The room itself was quite cool. Giant bed, decent size TV (which we didn’t really use), huge glass block 2 person shower (bigger than the Rev.’s entire bathroom), fireplace, giant Jacuzzi, and the coolest thing would be our own private pool in the room. And of course we had to decorate the place to fit us, so we brought along all of our party lights.
Just down the street from the Belamere is Levis Commons, with the Nagoya Restaurant at the very back. The only time we left the room was for dinner at Nagoya. The food there was plain killer. We started off with some sashimi, and the Reverend was finally able to satisfy a life goal. To have Kobe Beef, and yes, it is as good as they say it is.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and now we are back in the real world. But while it lasted, it was amazing.

The Voodoo Empire has been hard at work on another web presence. In an effort to make the Voodoo Empire a one stop service, the Voodoo Empire Photo page has been launched. It’s a bit sloppy currently, but functional. The point was to keep all Voodoo Empire photos from events and such on Flickr, as they have a great service. But to be able to use the API function they offer and be able to view the photos in the RVoodoo domain. Now we have Voodoo Empire Photos launched. It enables viewing all RVoodoo Flickr pics on a Voodoo Empire page.

This Carl Cox mix may or may not be a true Mix of the Moment! The point was to test The Voodoo Community upload function to see if it works. Which it does. This mix was posted here to verify it could be directly linked to after uploading it. It appears to work!

The Voodoo Empire continues to grow. The latest project is The Voodoo Community. This is a site currently being developed to host DJ sets. Until now The Voodoo Forums has been a great place to chat, but it has been fairly hard to link your own DJ sets on there. The Voodoo Community should fix all that. It has a file size limit set at 75Mb which is more than enough to host a DJ set. You do have to sign up to upload your own sets. But once on the Community they can be downloaded and linked to. Hopefully this offering from the Voodoo Empire will prove to be useful to the scene.

This is a mighty fine event goin down every Wednesday at Woodchuck’s. The music variety is fantastic. Even your friendly neighbourhood Reverend has been out to play a few times. Do yourself a favour and check this one out!

I’ve been hard at work on the Voodoo Forums today. Several new things have been implemented.
- The easiest was adding a colour mod so I can change text colour for Categories. I just thought that would help distiguish main category headings a little.
- Next up was the PM mod. I didn’t like how all PMs were listed together on one page, looking just like a thread. So all incoming PMs joined together to look like one conversation, no matter how many people had sent them. Now you’re PMs will come up as a list and you can click each one individually. Also added was the ability to have a pop-up when you get a new PM. This defaults as OFF but can be changed in your profile settings.
- Attachment upload sizes have been modified as some folks wanted to upload samples to share for music creation. I have not decided on a final size yet and am open to input.
- And finally, I’ve added a user photo gallery. Now instead of just including photos in your posts, you can keep a photo gallery on the Voodoo Forums with lots of photos.
Hope the Voodoo Forums users enjoy! If you are not a member, head over and join! Link is in The Reverend’s Link section on the left.

The all new www.RVOODOO.com bumper stickers are in! These are high quality, professionally made and quite sexy looking in the Rev.’s opinion! In case ya care, they were made online at makestickers.com. Next up will be designing Voodoo Forums stickers. Next time you see your friendly Reverend ask for one!

Well, looks like another great event in Toledo. Even though The Reverend was unable to make it due to work, Ankhjii took loads of photos. You can find those on my Flickr page. As always you can click there from the links section.

Thanks to Joe, the Reverend has really been enjoying proton radio a little bit. Then the Rev. found out he can include a Proton Player on his page. Maybe you wanna give it a bit of a listen. Every now and then the player seems to act up and auto play on page load. For that I apologize, it’s not supposed to auto play!
